Fewer than 1 in 4 students get the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity. Teen girls drop of out of sports at twice the rate of boys, and participation in organized sports has declined. Yet, school-based physical education is the TOP source of youth physical activity.
School-based physical activity solutions have an important impact on the wellness of children! GENYOUth’s programs and partnerships level the playing field for youth and foster connectedness, confidence, and a lifelong love of physical activity and sport.

Root4All
Root4All is designed to address the steep decline in physical activity among youth, with a focus on empowering girls and ensuring inclusivity for all genders and identities. By age 13, girls drop out of sport and physical activity at twice the rate of boys, and this disparity is even more pronounced in communities of color.
Grounded in insights from physical education teachers, counselors, and students, Root4All tackles the unique barriers that hinder participation, especially for girls. The program’s equipment, resources, and curriculum are thoughtfully designed to inspire all youth—especially girls—to fuel their bodies, stay active, and thrive.
