GENYOUth’s Grab and Go Breakfast Cart System has proven to be a game-changer and is helping schools nationwide close the gap in school breakfast participation. With support from our funding partners, GENYOUth has placed 500* Grab and Go Breakfast Cart Systems (mobile carts, coolers and point of sale units) in high-needs schools across the U.S., increasing participation in school breakfast by as much as 27% and providing access to 50 million school breakfast opportunities a year.

Of all the steps schools can take toward creating healthier, higher-achieving students and a culture of wellness, implementing school breakfast is perhaps the simplest and most cost-effective, with very possibly the most direct impact. Breakfast is linked with numerous health and educational benefits for children, including improved academic performance, school attendance and dietary intake.

Grab and Go Breakfast Carts can be used during multiple day parts including the distribution and delivery of meals after school for food insecure youth to keep them well-nourished throughout their day. In a COVID-19 world the carts have been a lifesaver to help schools with the distribution of essential meals to their students outside of the cafeteria.
