Lauren Izzo

Lauren has built a career rooted in education, community engagement, and school-based initiatives that help children lead healthier lives. As Vice President of Programs at GENYOUth, she leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization’s flagship initiatives, including NFL FLAG-In-School, End Student Hunger, and other national programs. In this role, she works with partners such as the National Football League, all 32 NFL clubs, and SHAPE America to expand access to nutrition and physical activity opportunities for millions of students.

As a member of GENYOUth’s Senior Leadership Team, Lauren helps shape organizational strategy and is known for her empathetic, collaborative leadership style. A natural relationship builder, she brings together educators, nonprofit leaders, corporate partners, and community organizations around a shared commitment to student well-being. She combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and is always willing to roll up her sleeves to turn ideas into action and deliver results.

Lauren earned her B.A. in American Studies from Dickinson College. She is a proud mom of two and enjoys exploring parks and playgrounds throughout New York City with her family.
